Busy busy with the holidays approaching! We are in Dallas right now and we are going to stay through Christmas and then head down to Port Aransas.
LBR is about 14 inches long and not quite 2 pounds. He is the size of a "hot house English cucumber". His ears and nostrils are opening and developing. It says that he should start having hiccups soon. That should be excititing!
Will post more with pictures after the holidays.

Week 25
This is what LBR is this week. A rutabaga. I have never actually had one of these. They sure look tasty though. He weighs almost two pounds this week and is 13 1/2 inches long. It also says that his hair is now a color. I hope not red :)Alison requested more belly pictures so here they are. Matt convinced me that I needed one showing the actual belly. He said it is more impressive that way. Not sure how I feel about that!!! These will be the last belly posts until after the holidays. Maybe I will get REALLY huge with all the upcoming eatings available.

24th Week Update
LBR is 24 weeks old and he is the size of a corn on the cob and weighs over a pound. They also say that his taste buds are developing.......interesting.
Went to the Dr. today and she did not really have much new to report for this visit. I am weighing a ton and I am measuring appropriately. Heard his little heart and it sounded good. My Dr. did say that next month is a big appointment. I have to have my hour long glucose screening test. I get to drink a super sugary drink and then they take my blood. Fun times! I also have to give some blood for my thyroid and we will learn about pediatricians and birth plans and what not. THEN my appointments after that will come every two weeks. That is serious. This means we are getting close. Not much else new going on. I will post belly pictures when I am feeling strong enough to show people how huge I am :)

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas......and Thanksgiving
I have here two WONDERFUL snow photos from Friday. It was actually very pretty. I also have some photos from Thanksgiving. I stole them from Lacy. Enjoy.
This is Matt at the zoo. He is in a giant bird nest. You cannot really see the nest. But he is flapping his wings and protecting his eggs.
SNOW
I was cold and apparently making a wonderful face.
The view from our apartment.
THANKSGIVING

But he is flapping his wings and protecting his eggs. These two are gems brought to you from the hidden/secret/forbidden garden that was at the renaissance festival that we decided to go to the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We had a great time people watching :)
Going to the dr. on Wednesday so I will have more to share then.

23 Weeks
He weighs one whole pound this week! That is a huge baby :) Not much else exciting happening this week. The e-mail said to try dancing around to see if he will move. So far his big kicks only happen late at night. Maybe dancing will inspire him.
I am also posting a picture of my belly. I think it has grown a lot since the last pictures were taken just two weeks ago. See what you think!

Sorry this picture is not from the same perspective as those other ones. Matt was in San Antonio so I did the best I could on my own. Do you like how my shirt does not cover my belly all the way anymore?

Week 22
LBR is the size of a spagetti squash this week. I feel like that is really quite large. He is 11 inches long and it said that he looks like a miniature newborn now. He has started some powerful kicking. You can feel him from the outside now. I think he must be getting excited for TURKEY!

21 weeks and counting
We went to the Dr. today. He confirmed that it is a boy for sure. He did not give us great pictures but here they are. I would also like to say that we do not enjoy these 4d images, but that is what we got. We do not mean to frighten anyone with our alien baby pictures :)

20 Weeks!
As Bon Jovi would say, we're halfway there! Only 139 days to go! LBR weighs appx 10.5 ounces and is the length of a banana --- 10 inches long from head to to heel.
I will be going back to the doctor next week for a check-up. If they do a sonogram, I'll be sure to share the picture with you.
Be sure to check out my 'Countdown to LBR' at the bottom of the page!
PS- Megan wrote this post for me :)
