We went to the zoo the other day. Holden could not have been less interested in the animals. He was VERY involved with an apple that he stole from me. I think he worked on it for a good 30 minutes.
Holden helped me babysit a little friend the other day while Grey was at school.
Grey had his first tball game. He loves it! He is REALLY good at hitting. He hit it perfect each time he was up to bat. He was terrible when it was his turn to be in the outfield. I looked away to talk to another mom and when I looked up I panicked because I could not see Grey. He had wandered to the pitching mound. Then he wandered to his friend on second base. Goodness....we need to work on that :)
And finally, Grey had his big four year appointment. I thought that they would just check him out. Apparently they get you ready to register for kindergarten. So he had to give a urine sample, give blood from a finger prick, and he had to get three shots!!!!!!!!!!!! Originally I told him that he couldn't cry and he could go for ice cream. As soon as I found out all that there were planning to do, I amended my statement and told him he couldn't throw a fit and that he had to be brave. I figured he would really cry because he FLIPPED out when he got his flu shot about 6 months ago. Well, he sure surprised us all. He didn't shed one tear! What a big kid! The nurse gave him a ton of stickers and we headed to get ice cream!
