Three weeks old

Today baby is 3 weeks old. It is hard to believe that he has only been out and about for 3 weeks. I feel like it has been forever since I was pregnant.

He is doing well. He is still a bit fussy but we work on our disposition every day :)

Grey has had some big events this week. He took his very first bottle and he met his friends Gary and Alison.

We are headed to Mississippi at the end of this week so I am sure we will have lots of photos documenting our fun.

Two week check up

LBR went to the dr. for his two week appointment today. He was such a good boy in the waiting room, but he sure tuned it up when we got into the room. He had a little heal stick and they took some of his blood. He REALLY hated that. We found out that he weighs 8.15!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you remember he weighed 7.9 when he was born. So he has gained a lot of weight. He also has grown two inches. He is now 23 inches long. He is a growing boy! We don't have to go back until he is two months old. So that is our report card for two weeks.

Bath Time!!!!

LBR had his firt sponge bath and then two days later his cord fell off and he got his firt REAL bathtub!! He loved it at first and then I think he got a little cold. :)

So the contractions started irregularly around 9 on Sunday night. They were not getting any worse, but they were getting a little more regular. We went to bed thinking that I would be really ready for the induction the next day. I fell right asleep and woke up about an hour later. I was having the contractions about every 8 or 9 minutes and they were getting a little worse. I woke up Matt and we sat and timed the contractions for another hour or two. They were getting worse and a lot closer. When the contractions were about 5 or 6 minutes apart Matt and I called the dr. and they said to come on into the the hospital. We called the parents and drove to the hospital at 2 AM. We were put in a hospital room and we waited to find out if we were actually in labor. I got hooked up to everything and they let me know that I was in labor and that I was staying. We texted and called people to make sure that everyone knew that baby was actually coming.









Pretty funny that I was going to be induced that morning anyway. This kid wanted to enter with style!!

Long story short, I was in labor until about 9:15 or so and then I started pushing.

At 10:35 AM on April 5th enter...

Waiting for baby

So baby's due date was March 31st. We went to the dr. and we waited. By friday we were ready! So we scheduled an induction for Monday April 5th. Matt and I went around town and tried to walk the baby out. We went to the zoo and saw a pregnant elephant.







Then we went to the Houston arboretom. It was not as nice as the one in Dallas, but it was fun.






So we walked around all weekend and nothing happened. We did not have anything planned for Easter because we thought we would have a baby by then. So we decided to dye eggs. We also took a couple pictures with a bib that was for LBR's first Easter. We FOR SURE thought we would be able to use that!







So we made the eggs, watched some TV, ate dinner, and thought we were going to be induced around 7:30 the next morning. And then the contractions started.....
