How Does Your Garden Grow?

Last weekend Matt worked really hard and built a new garden. We then planted lots of fun things! Matt also tore out the old sand box that we were not using.

Random pictures!!

The crawler is in full motion! He cares nothing about baby toys and only wants Grey's big boy toys.

Grey has started swimming lessons. He cried everyday last week, but once they get started he loved it. And today he DIDN'T cry to get in! He can put his head all the way under and kick his feet. She is a really great teacher and she promises that by the end of our session he will be for sure swimming!

6 Months!

Holden is 6 months old! Half a year. A very merry un-birthday :)

It is a little strange that Holden is 6 months old. Some times it feels like he has always been here, and other times it feels like he just got here.

Holden is a sweet boy most of the time. He LOVES to be held still. He has started reaching for me. It is so sweet when he does, but that also means I am the only one he wants. He does not really have stranger danger yet, but if he can see me I am the one he wants. I mean I guess that is my reward for having to hold him all day, everyday :) Holden is still not sleeping through the night. We have had a lot of set backs. We couldn't let him cry in the hotel and now he has terrible croup. He is not supposed to get very upset because it makes the cough worse. I have high hopes for the next few weeks. I am hoping he can get well and we can get him to start sleeping through the night! He still HATES the car seat. He cries pretty much every time we are in the car. He is getting more and more into his jumper and his exersaucer. He can pull himself across the floor now. I have no doubt that if he would spend more time alone he would be full blown crawling. He still loves Grey and loves to look at him and laugh with him. He is liking most baby food. He loves all the fruit we have tried. His favorite of all food is sweet potato. He is not a fan of green beans. He is getting more and more fun. He likes to play toys now and little hand games. He is growing a little more hair and his eyes are still blue. He is going to take a paci. We tried to get him off of it and into his thumb......did not work. He is going to love his paci. He has also started liking a little silky blanket. He goes to the dr. on Monday so I will update his length and weight then.

Sorry the photos are not that happy. He is still not a happy guy because of his cough!

Disney World!!!!!!

We had such a great time in Florida. It was tiring and hard at times, but SUPER fun :)

Day One: We drove all day to Orlando. Both boys did a great job. H had some tears, but overall he was good.

Day Two: Matt went to his conference in the morning and then we hit Animal Kingdom!

Grey was VERY overwhelmed with the amount of people and things to look at. We went straight to dinoland and rode a ride. Grey was very unsure at the beginning and then decided it was really fun to ride "roller posters". This was Holden's first ride as well. He liked it just fine :)

These were taken right before the Nemo stage show. We had to leave about five minutes into the show because someone started crying and carrying on.....it was not Holden. We quickly found out that Grey is not a fan of the shows or movie type things at Disney.

We then went on an African safari. Grey really liked seeing all of the animals. Holden got a little sleepy from all of our animal scouting.

I went to go and feed Holden and when I came back I found a chocolate covered Grey. He HAD to get a Mickey ice cream. It wouldn't be a real Disney trip until we had one!

We went on a train. You know Grey LOVED that!

Grey wanted to meet Mickey. We waited in line to meet him. We got to the front and of course he was scared. Oh well! Characters and shows are not his thing.

We left Animal Kingdom at dinner time. Grey was SO exhausted. You can see on his cheek he got a boo boo. He was so tired he was wobbly while playing on a dino playground and slammed into the side of a slide.

Day Three: Matt went to his conference for a little while and then we went to Magic Kingdom. This was our favorite park. Grey was so happy and excited!

On the ferry boat from the parking lot to Magic kingdom.

Watching some street performers.

Our first ride, the people mover.

This was a Buzz Lightyear ride. I was very nervous about it because it was sort of in the dark. Grey was nervous, but he ended up loving it. Holden liked it fine :)

We then rode the Astro Orbiter. Grey was learning that he loves rides. This one was a little intense for Holden, but he didn't fuss. Maybe he likes rides too.

Grey got to drive his own racecar! He loved it so much, that as soon as he got off with Matt I went back on it with him. Holden was not allowed on this one, so he slept.

We rode the carousel.

Both boys LOVED the Small World ride. Even Holden was mesmerized. They loved all the singing and kids moving.

It only rained one night. It rained pretty hard, but for only about 15 minutes. We stayed at Magic Kingdom and powered through. We went on a wet Aladdin ride and then got some night time ice cream!!

We stayed out SO late that night. Grey fell asleep in his stroller on the way to the car. Matt stood him up to get into the car and had to catch him because he was falling over!!!

Day Four: We went to the park early. We could only stay a while because Matt had to be back for his conference in the afternoon. We went to Hollywood Studios. We did not do a ton here because it was mostly shows and movies. Grey was not a fan!

Matt and I each got to go on a roller coaster. The boys were kind enough to wait for us!

Grey got to meet Lightning and Mater. He was nervous. But he did let Matt hold him for a photo. He was also very interested to look from far away.

We played on a playground and went to a super fun stunt car show. A few rides and then it was time to go. Grey did get to pick out something and he chose a Buzz Lightyear.

Day Five: We decided not to go to Epcot. We decided to go back to Magic Kingdom. We thought that Grey would rather re-do things he had already done rather than try to get him to see shows or something like that.

More Small World. They LOVE it!

We didn't get to ride Dumbo the first time!

We saw TOM BERGERON filming America's Funniest Home Videos. You know you are jealous. (He is under the unbrella, wearing maroon).

Mickey pretzel!

More racecars, people movers, and Buzz rides.

Grey even rode the Pirates of the Caribbean ride (scary!!!) and he liked it.

A little treat and a new Buzz hat!

Day Six: We drove home. Holden was not nearly as good. But it was fine. We did see something that made the trip just a little better :)

We had a really wonderful trip!!! Lots of memories were made.
