Tuesday

I know that it means bad luck if a black cat crosses your path. Soooooooo.......does a black cat tapping on your window mean something even worse??

A few mornings ago Grey and I were sitting on the floor playing toys. I always have the blinds raised because Grey LOVES them. Well I hear a tapping coming from outside. I turn my head and Grey and I both spot a black cat. We do not own a cat, and to my knowledge neither do the neighbors on either side of us. It was not just there, it was actually tapping on the window. He saw us and then ran. I thought in my head "No one is going to believe that this cat came tapping on the window." HE CAME BACK! So I had to break out the camera.

Grey and cat tapped at each other for about ten minutes. Then the cat ran and stayed in our tree for a really long time.

I am going to believe that this does not mean bad luck. A black cat tapping is TOTALLY different than a black cat crossing our path.

This is a cute little video of the baby bouncing. Every time he hears music this is what he does.

Grey has decided that he can stand in his crib whenever he wants now. On this day he was very upset when he woke up. Notice the monitor on the floor.....it was immediately removed from its old location.

Grey sleeps with a little lovey blanket and a sea horse. He is only allowed these items when he is going to sleep. Today we were playing in his room and he realized that if he stuck his fingers in the slats he could get his lovey.

Stolen lovey-

Him realizing that I noticed him stealing his lovey-

Putting his lovey back in the bed after I gave him the stink eye-

I thought it was so cute that he put it back. Now I will admit that he did it again like five minutes later and did not want to put it back. :)

Buuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It sure has been cold here! Last night it got down to 16 degrees! The crazy thing is that two posts ago it was warm enough for tornados. Silly weather. We did not get any snow though. We had sleet and ice and that was about it.

BUT earlier last week it was pretty warm. We got to take the trike out on it's maiden voyage. It has been too cold to take it out. You can shove blankets around him in a stroller, but with the trike it is difficult.

We headed to feed the ducks. Grey LOVED that he could sit right up and see them.

The visiting geese at the pond were not nearly as friendly as the ducks. They were not sure what to think of Matt and his bread.

Here we have a cheerio hoarder. He reached in when I was not looking and came out with an entire handful.

This is when I asked him (politely) to open his hand.

And this is what he did when I started to try and take them from his hand.

This is baby Grey watching the sleet and waiting for the snow that never happened.

Not much else going on here. Just trying to stay warm!!!

9 Months!!!

The big guy is nine months old today!!! For some reason nine months seems a LOT older than eight months.

We went to the doctor today. He had to have some blood drawn and a shot. He did not cry for either of those things. But he did cry hysterically when his sweet doctor tried to pick him up and kiss on him. Part of the reason he did not cry for his shot is because he LOVES our doctor's nurse. He flirts a lot with her!

He now weighs twenty-one pounds which is actually about average for a nine month old. He is thirty inches long which means he is in the 99th percentile for a nine month old. So he is long and lean!

2011

How did you spend your new year's eve? Well, the three of us spent our new year's eve in the bathtub with a mattress over our heads. It was just rainy and windy.....and then they told us that if we lived within one mile of the dogwood area we had 6 minutes before a tornado would be there. Well we live a lot less than one mile from dogwood. Then they actually named our street! The sirens were blaring. It was intense. We spent about 45 minutes hanging out waiting for this tornado. It THANKFULLY just missed us.

We took these to commemorate our last night of 2010.

I am smiling, but I was actually really scared. Baby thought it was kind of fun :)

Here are some pictures from our week.

Baby fell asleep on my lap which NEVER happens anymore. And I took a picture because he was smiling in his sleep.
