Rick and Lily!!!!

Rick and Lily came this weekend. Grey had lots of fun!

They came in on Thursday night. We just played and ate some dinner.

Rick and Lily brought Grey a little stuffed Elmo and an Elmo book. As Rick pulled it out of the bag Grey said "Oh wow"! :)

Grey had a playdate Thursday morning, then story time in the afternoon, playing with Rick and Lily, and chasing Doc. So, he forced everyone to watch some Yo Gabba Gabba with him to unwind from the day.

On Friday Matt had to go to work. We played and then Rick, Lily, Grey, and I went to Brent's. Brent's is a soda fountain place that the movie The Help was filmed in. (The book The Help played a big role in our weekend....Lily and I really liked the book). We had cokes and hamburgers.

Lily and I spent the afternoon shopping and then we cooked out for dinner.

Saturday we played in the morning. Rick taught grey how to drink from the hose. He really enjoyed that!

Rick and Lily knew about Grey's love of Yo Gabba Gabba, so they brought him another present. A Brobee pillow.

You can kind of see Brobee in this picture. Grey put him in a chair and they colored together.

On Saturday afternoon we did something a little out of the ordinary. We went on a "The Help" self guided driving tour of Jackson. You followed a map and it took you to different historical places in Jackson that they talk about in the book. It was really interesting. Even the boys liked it because we drove and read about places in Jackson we had never been before.

On Saturday night Rick and Lily stayed home with Grey so we could go out to a nice dinner. We were celebrating our anniversary. It is on Thursday, so it was very nice to not have to hire a babysitter or anything.

We sure had a great time! Thanks for coming to visit us :)

We go back to an open calendar after this weekend. July sure was fun though!

Devyn and Dallas

Grey and I headed to Dallas right after Gary and Alison left. We were going to see baby Devyn again!!

We got to Dallas a day before Lacy and Devyn. We were invited to a playdate at Zev's house.

My dad even came because he has a special place in his heart for Zevi!! He got to spend some time with Tahl too!

We decided to take a photo of the three boys.......big mistake :)

Grey had a great time playing with Zev's toys and copying his big boy moves!

Devyn and Lacy arrived and we got to spend a lot of time with them. Grey was really into Devyn. He wanted to touch her and was always asking about the baby.

Devyn got to meet her Great Grandma and her Great Poppy.

Devyn also got to meet a potential suitor (Tahl).

Grey got to visit with his Grandmommie.

Grey was also there to help Devyn with her first pool experience.

We had a GREAT time!

Next on our agenda: Mimi and Granddaddy come for a visit!!! After they leave we turn into boring people again. No more big plans :)

Ice Cream Safari

Alison and Gary came to visit us this weekend. We had lots of fun!

They came in on Thursday night. We just hung out and watched a little Yo Gabba Gabba. On Friday Matt still had to work so I took Gary and Alison to the "fancy" shopping center here in Jackson. They played in the fountains with Grey.

We did a little shopping and we hit the bookstore. They were VERY brave and encouraged me to let Grey out of the stroller in the bookstore. Gary even showed Grey how to play at a train table.

We then went to have a little burger for lunch, came home and napped the baby. Then we went to get some coffee and go to the pet store. Grey (and Alison) love dogs and all things pet store. Matt came home from work and we ate dinner.

On Saturday the big boys went to play golf. Alison, Grey, and myself decided to go to the zoo. Alison had heard so much about it that she wanted to experience the greatness for herself :) We got to the zoo and they told us for $2.00 we could get into the ice cream safari. We said we would think about it. We walked around and saw some animals and came back to see what it was all about. The ice cream safari was basically a charity event hosted by Blue Bell. They had "celebrity" scoopers and you voted on your favorite ice cream flavor or scooper. But you could taste every booths ice cream and go back as many times as you wanted. When we heard unlimited Blue Bell, we were in!!!

I think we might have spent more time at the booths then actually looking at animals.

Here we are letting Grey try some of our ice cream.

I thought that the ice cream party couldn't get any better. Then we turned the corner and I saw Megan West and Ethan Houston! Who you say?? They are the morning anchors on channel 8. I watch them every morning!!! Alison and I got to meet them as they were giving us their Mississippi Mud Pie ice cream. They were really nice (and much more attractive in person). Especially when Alison told them that Grey watches them too. I voted for them.....but they didn't win.

So much fun!

Saturday afternoon we all came back home to eat lunch. The baby napped a bit and then ALL the boys went to a golf store while Alison and I did a little shopping! we ate dinner and just hung out.

This morning we had to say goodbye. But not without one last picture....
