Holden John Richardson

Baby Holden John Richardson was born on October 17th at 12:44 Am. He weighed six pounds and 13 ounces. He was nineteen and a half inches long. Everyone is in love with this sweet guy!

Around 5:30 on Tuesday October 16th I had a contraction. They started coming at really irregular time intervals, but one right after another. At around 7 I called Megan and told her to come for sure and I called my friend Katie and told her that it was happening and could she watch Grey. My contractions were like every 3 minutes, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 4 minutes. But they were getting worse and worse. I called my dr. at about 8 and told him I was headed to the hospital. We dropped off Grey and headed in. We got to the hospital at about 9:15 or so. My contractions started getting really far apart, but they said they were strong enough to stay. I labored for a few hours and at 12:44 Holden was born. They cleaned him up and Matt took him to the nursery. It took about an hour and right after they brought him back to me my parents arrived!

Shout out to Megan who drove from Memphis to spend the night and take care of G!!

We only had to stay until Thursday morning and then we were allowed to go home!!

Oh Grey......

Grey got a brother and a train table! I think he was a little more excited about his trains :)

Fall Festivities

Fall is in the air!!! Grey and I went to a pumpkin patch on Friday. Grey mostly liked the tractors and animals. He was not that impressed with the pumpkins.

We went to the state fair this weekend. We had a lot of fun. Grey was not into feeding any of the animals this year. Matt was forced to feed all the animals by himself :)

In big kid news, We took Grey to the rides and kept asking him if he wanted to ride anything. He finally said he wanted to ride the race car "roller poster." This was actually one of the faster kid rides. Matt went with him and he actually had a GREAT time. He talked about it all day.

We are having a great weekend so far!!

Two and a HALF!!!!!!

Grey is officially two and a half. I don't know why, but that seems old. Big boy over here!! We have been very busy recently. Grey has school two days a week, I have been having weekly doctors appointments, Matt has been taking more call than usual to try and not have call when LBR 2 comes, and we have been trying to do lots of fun activities in case we don't want to leave the house after baby comes. We have had lots of fun play dates!!!

In injury news, this mom got hurt. I was lying in bed with Grey reading books and singing him songs. Matt came in and said good night to Grey. Grey sat up in bed and wanted to give Matt a hug. When he was finished with the hug he just slammed backwards onto his pillow...AKA my face. I immediately felt it swelling and it hurt very badly. I finished putting Grey to bed and Matt made me ice it all night. Well, it turned into a black eye. It was never horrible, but for sure noticeable. Poor pregnant beat up lady! These pictures are not the greatest because I took them all myself. This one you can tell it is swollen.

The progression of slightly blue, to green, to mostly yellow. VERY attractive. (Oh, and I am wearing makeup to cover it up in both of these pictures.)

Nothing else exciting going on over here, just waiting for baby!
