CEREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So our big news of the week is that we finally decided it was time to give Grey some rice cereal. The Dr. told us to wait it out until 6 months but we thought it was about time. He was wanting to eat every couple of hours and he seemed ready.

We were right. He loves it! He took to it like a champ. He was even trying to feed himself.

And here are some random pictures from our week.

Blog Poll

We have had another sort of slow week. Just hanging out with friends, chores around the house, and running some errands.

Grey has been hanging out with his new friend Ollie. Ollie is only a little over a month old. So Grey is going to have to teach him a lot of new things!

Grey and I reading books!

TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!

Blog Poll: Who do you think Grey looks more like. Matt or Emily? (I may have slightly rigged the poll)

Don't Mess With Texas

We have been going non-stop with people visiting and getting ready for people to visit. It has been sort of strange to not have anyone to prepare for. My mom and dad are not coming until the first week of September so that is still a ways off. We have had a relaxing low key week. Grey is getting better and better at baby pool time. he is actually splashing and stuff now. Alison brought us a super cute little outfit for him to wear at pool time! (Swim trunks that actually fit him!) My friend Kati from good old Cedar Brook sent Mr. Grey a TEXAS FLAG outfit. We had to put it on him so he would always remember his roots :) On Friday we went to the zoo. I have been a few times already. It is just a nice place to walk around and just get out of the house! This picture is for Amy. We spent a really long time looking for the pygmy hippo. Matt walks up and finds him right away. The Pygmy hippo was worth the price of admission
We had a great time at the zoo. Grey got a little tired and hot at the very end.

Grey has been reaching and grabbing for anything that we put to our mouths while holding him. He likes to try and grab your drink. So we decided to see what he would do with a sippy cup of water.
And this was what happened when we took the sippy cup away from him!

Finally Grey did what everyone has been asking me about. I went to go get him the other morning and found him sideways on his tummy. He has been rolling all over the place. Matt and I wish that he would now learn to roll back. He gets very frustrated that he cannot roll back to his back.

Grey turns 4 months old and Gary and Alison visit!

It has been a busy few days for us. Grey turned four months old on Thursday and he had to go to the doctor. He got a few shots and a great report from the dr. We found out that he is a tub-o baby! He now weighs......wait for it......18 pounds!!! We really can't believe it. So he weighs 18 pounds which means he is in the 99th percenile of all four months olds. He is also super tall. He is measuring 27 inches which means he is in the 95th percentile for height. He is only in the 25th percentile for his head circumference. So I guess he has a small-ish head :) Here is a picture of us before the shots. This is a picture of us after the shots. Here are some pictures of Grey's 4 month photo shoot. They are not the greatest photos because I was silly and did not take them until AFTER our shots. This is just a cute little picture of Grey reading to himself :) Gary and Alison came to visit us this weekend. We all had a great time. It was fun that they got to see how much Grey has changed. They had not seen him since he was two weeks old. Alison helped Matt weed our strawberry patch. Apparently she enjoys doing that. She is welcome in my backyard anytime! Everyone LOVES the swings. I have been waiting and waiting for Grey to be able to roll from his back all the way to his tummy. I felt like he was able to roll from side to side such a long time ago and he should be making it to his tummy. Well, he finally did it all by himself. Alison and I were watching him and he kept getting so close. She pulled out her phone and actually caught him rolling on tape. All four of us witnessed it and were very proud of him!

Alison took some other pictures and I might post more from our weekend once I get them.

August 4th, 2007

Three years ago Matt and I were married. It has been the craziest and best 3 years of my life. Who would have thought that in three short years I would have a baby and be living in Mississippi :)

Happy Anniversary Matt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
