Joy to the World

We really did have a really joyous Christmas season! We had a lot of cozy pj days at home, fun activities, and family!

Holden was a lamb in a little nativity pageant at his school.

We kicked off the Christmas break with a trip to the Zoo Light Safari. The boys thought the fake snow was the best part!

Lazy pj day.

Holden was watching his show with his "binoculars".

Various Christmas apparel.

A pj crafting day.

We (I) made a gingerbread train that almost killed us (me).

Then Granddaddy, Mimi, Alex, and Doc came to visit us!

We decorated cookies for Santa.

On Christmas Eve we read "The Night Before Christmas", and the boys put out milk and cookies for Santa!

Christmas morning!!!

We had a GREAT Christmas Day. We were about to go look at Christmas lights when the tornado sirens went off. We spent a good portion of the evening in the hall and then in the tub. This momma was scared!

Just a regular dinner.....

The day after Christmas Alex's fiance Todd came to meet us! The boys thought he was super fun. And we thought he was a trooper to be thrown into the crazy!

6 Months

A very merry un-birthday to Beau!!!! He is half a year. Feels like he is just a newborn. Well, a 20 lb newborn.

Beau is still very sweet. He is good natured and very "go with the flow". He is now eating baby food three times a day, he has almost completely mastered a straw cup (and loves trying), he can pick up puffs pretty good (but has a hard time getting them off of his fingers into his mouth. He is tripod sitting and can sit alone for a bit. He rolls all over all the time. He is frustrated by not being able to crawl, but is lazy and woke put in the work :). This month he has started reaching for me (love), crying when I leave a room (hate), and still LOVES the attention the bigs give him. He still does not sleep through the night (gag), and has some napping issues as well (gag). Pretty soon he will have to do baby sleep boot camp!

I took like 75 photos and this is what I got. He would not leave his sticker alone!!!!!

Thanksgiving

We had a really fun, relaxing Thanksgiving (as relaxed as one can be with three boys). Gran, Lacy, Brandon, and Devyn came to help us celebrate! Thanks for making the trek guys!

Grey had a really neat Thanksgiving feast at his school. We ate really delicious food and the 5th graders were our servers. It was super cute.

Holden's class. His Indian name was "Snapping Alligator"......how appropriate.

The boys and I made this turkey "Flappy". We added feathers everyday for things we were thankful for. I think my all time favorite was from Holden. Reptiles. He is thankful for reptiles. Aren't we all?

A little story time.

Some all American football on Thanksgiving day. Matt said Devyn was the only one actually interested.

Cousins!

We had beautiful weather and we got to go hiking in two different state parks. We also went to the botanical gardens. I will have to collect more pictures from people.

We were walking along and Santa drove up in his truck and stopped to take a picture with the kiddos!!!

Devyn and Holden helped me decorate the Christmas tree while Grey was at school.

And this is what happens in carpool after 7 days of Thanksgiving fun and no naps!

We had such a great time. And now we can all say "remember that time in Birmingham". :)
