THREE

Sweet Holdy Bear is three. Who can believe it, not me. For some reason this birthday has seemed like a big milestone for me. Something about transitioning from toddler to preschooler.

Holden is such a unique kid. He is so sassy and so stubborn. But he is so loving and sweet. Out of the two big boys, Holden has a much more tender heart for others. He LOVES Beau. He frequently gets in trouble for kissing Beau on the mouth. He still loves to challenge us on everything. He hates getting in trouble and going to time out. And when he does go, he frequently spirals out of control. But he is so funny and really mostly a good boy. He is the instigator in late night no-sleep play fests with Grey. He is also the early morning play instigator. Sharing a room these past few months has been challenging.

Holden is very funny to me! For example: The other day I was fussing at him for going out on the deck without me. He responded "I just want to see the world". Driving in the car: "When I was a horse I had EXTREMELY loud hooves." I asked him "Are you going to be a spooky pumpkin or a cute pumpkin for Halloween?" "The cutest pumpkin in the patch". He makes us laugh everyday.

He is doing really well at school. He goes into school everyday with no complaints. His teacher told me how sweet he is. She said she loves to talk to him privately because he always says such sweet things.

He still loves the train table, sand box, anything involving the outdoors, planes, Thomas, trains, going to the library, and playing anything with Grey.

LOVE. THIS. KID!

4 Months!

Baby Beau is four months old already! Sorry for the late post. Life sure gets away from me :)

Baby Beau is doing great. He is mostly happy. He is almost ALWAYS happy if you just stand and hold him. He is pretty easily soothed and such a cutie! This month he started some cereal. He isn't super into it. He also has decided he will NOT take a bottle. That has been hard. But we are still trying almost everyday. He can now roll from his tummy to his back, and his back to his tummy....when he wants to. He is a little lazy. He has gotten very into toys and playing in his exercauser.

Sleep is still a struggle. But overall he is a good boy and super sweet! We head to the Dr. next Friday for Beau's shots and check up and for Holden's 3 year visit.

Happy Fall

Happy Fall! Fall is in the air. The weather is getting a little bit cooler and we have been adventuring!

We found a fun trail and went for a bike ride. It took us to a creek, so we stopped and ate a snack and watched the water.

Holden's class at school.

Grey's teacher had a birthday yesterday. They are the "Langston Ladybugs". So they dressed up and surprised her!

Grey also had a big day yesterday because he passed his first set of sight words! He was really nervous to take his test. But he was super proud when he passed it.

We went out for super fun fancy doughnuts!

Holden asked Matt to wrap him up like a little baby!

Last weekend we went up to Oak Mountain. We drove through the state park one time before, but this time we really explored. The boys were WORN out. We had a great time.

Happy October!
