Baby It's Cold Outside

It has been very cold around here. We have had a couple of nice days.....but we are ready for spring.

The boys and I went to the library the other day. Our favorite librarian, the one who knows us and the boys, is retiring. We were looking at her "memory wall" and she had posted Grey's little magazine cover and our Christmas card! So sweet :)



Matt went to Greenwood a few weekends ago. The boys and I went to the bookstore. They played trains and we read books. Grey picked out a little book. Then we went and had a cookie date. Notice Holdy's cookie dance!







These boys LOVE books!!!!! Grey has some (a lot) that he has memorized and he loves to read them to Holden.







Holden has fallen in love with a tiny little lion. He named him "baby Fasa". After Mufasa from the Lion King. He wraps him up and even insists on combing his hair.





In big boy news, we took the rails off of Holden's bed. We decided this was the first step to the boys being able to share a room eventually. He has done really well. He sometimes comes out of his room at nap. But mostly the transition has gone well.



We were lucky and got to meet Matt for lunch the other day. We had a great time!







Gran came in town again to watch the boys. Matt and I went on a weekend trip to Birmingham to try and get some stuff done. We forced Gran to go with us to the science museum again. Grey wanted to see the new dinosaur exhibit and Gran just couldn't say no.

The other night Grey wrote his name and Holden's name. We were really impressed because he remembered how to spell Holden's name and it looked so good. Apparently we made such a big deal that Holdy felt left out. So he brought us his own magnadoodle and asked me to take his picture :)

Happy Holidays

We had such a wonderful holiday season!

The boys had some fun Christmas parties at school! (Holden's class wore their pajamas).

two days before Christmas we went to the zoo. The kids had the entire place to themselves and they put on a Christmas show for us.





On Christmas eve the Richardsons came to visit! We made cookies for Santa.















Granddaddy brought some Jiffypop for a super special snack.









Who needs presents when you can just play in a box?!





Christmas eve was kind of a disaster. Grey didn't feel well and was acting out. He barely even put out cookies for Santa. He refused to wear his Christmas pjs. So he chose to wear Halloween pajamas. Whatever.

After naps we went to the library parking lot and tried out some new toys! Holden just ran around because he refused to put on his helmet. But Grey had a wonderful time!!















We had tons of fun!

The Richardsons left and we had a stay home weekend. We played lots of toys, watched movies, and Matt and Grey built a model airplane that Santa brought Grey.













Gran came to visit us for the week of New Years. We went had a cookie party and went to the science museum, she watched the boys for various doctors appointments, and we ate lunch and played at the mall.

We also had a fake countdown and a cider toast to ring in the new year. Gran also made us black eyed peas for luck in the new year!
