New Orleans

Matt and I decided to take an impromptu trip to New Orleans.....so did the rest of the world. Kidding! It was very busy. Most of the things we wanted to do were very crowded. BUT, we had a fun time.

My friend has a condo in New Orleans that she said we could stay in. It was very nice of them to let us stay there. The condo does not have any furniture, so here we are having a little picnic lunch before hitting the streets.



We went to the aquarium. Grey loves to watch fish and big tanks. It was neat!



You can't tell from this picture, but Grey really liked watching the penguins.





After the aquarium we walked all over the French quarter. We saw lots of fun shops, performers, and art work.

We went to Cafe Du Monde. It was so crowded there were no tables and there were long lines to get food to go. We didn't care. We waited in those lines and we got our benignets to go!





And as a reward for being a good boy.....GREY GOT A TASTE!!! We all thought they were delicious! Grey kept asking us for more. When we wouldn't give him any more he started crying :)







We started to melt down a little, so we all decided to head back to the condo.

The next morning we headed to the zoo. Grey has been to a lot of zoos in his short life. He is MUCH more interested these days. He really likes to look at the animals. ESPECIALLY if they have fur and he can call them "gogs".



















Being at the zoo is hard work!





Matt had to get pork rinds because we were on a road trip. And these happened to be made with Louisiana hot sauce :)



To finish off Memorial weekend, we went swimming!

Grey had a little play date with his friends.








We have these plastic teething rails on Grey's crib. He loves to bite his crib so we just slip them on. Well, he decided it would be really fun to slip them off.



You know it was a rough night when you wake up with a giraffe on your back.

Outdoors Man

Grey is an outside fanatic! Everyday he asks to go outside. If we walk to get the mail he cries when we go back inside. What does he do when he is outside? Not a lot. He mostly just walks around and looks at plants. If we are playing water table then he does that. He swings some too. But mostly, he looks at plants and listens for birds, cars, or planes.















We went to a little birthday party over the weekend. Emily, Patrick, and Ollie were there. Matt was on call so he was not able to come. Grey had a lot of fun. There was a water table and lots of stuff to push around the backyard. Also, it was a double birthday party so he had lots of fun just watching the big girls.











Grey mostly played with Ollie. We didn't get any pictures with Luke, the birthday boy.

Sicky Baby

We are FINALLY starting to feel a little better. The mouth sores were the worst. Grey didn't want to eat and he was drooling all over the place.

I did not take very many pictures this week.

Grey got a new chair to sit in!





This kid LOVES peanut butter. He also loves to get it everywhere.
