Here we go!
First stop, lake Grandbury. The kids honestly could have stayed there all day. They just love being outside. It was really windy.
Next stop, Big Rocks Park. The kids really liked getting in the river. We did not plan on the kids getting soaking wet, but of course, they did! Beau fell in a few times and didn't even really care. Good thing it was super warm!
Then we headed to the cabin. We had dinner and Matt built us a camp fire for s'mores. Poor Holden got a bad marshmellow burn.
The next morning Matt woke up and took the bigs fishing on the property. Grey caught a tiny fish. Then Matt had to go deal with a flat tire (boo).
We played around in the woods while we waited for Matt.
Matt saved the day and hurried back. We took our lunches and headed to Fossil Rim! Grey and Beau loved it. H was a little nervous. And we were ALL nervous about a particularly aggressive ostrich.
Then we headed to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glenrose. The foot prints were pretty amazing. The kids all got soaking wet again. Grey wanted Matt to take him all the way down the river. These kids LOVE the outdoors.
We had another wonderful fire. And in the morning Matt took all the boys on a PJ hike while Gran and I got everything cleaned up.
Thanks Gran for taking us on an adventure!
