A Year In Review

Baby Grey is a year old today!!!!! (and Yes, we will call him baby Grey for as long as possible) CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I sure can't. It has gone by so quickly. I feel like he was born just a couple months ago. :)

This has been the hardest, and by far the BEST year of my life. Matt and I are so in love with this little guy!

First road trip, first time out of the state, first time to cross the Mississippi, and the first time to look at and purchase a house (all in one weekend!!!!!)

First Thanksgiving.



First time in the bathtub due to tornados.

One year stats:

-Crawling: Like a champ
-Favorite food: Bananas, sweet potatoes, goldfish crackers, and berries.
-Favorite toys: The sea horse, lovey blanket, scout the dog, and his stand up walker.
-Favorite books: Bunny Kisses and Bath time peekaboo
-Words: Mama, Dada, Nanna (bananna), kaaa (car), Gog (dog)
-Signs: 4.....but we only have tried to teach him 5 :)
-Famous April 5th birthdays: Casanova (watch out ladies), Gregory Peck, Colin Powell, Vince Gill, Pat Green, Booker T. Washington, Bette Davis, and a better known Davis, GARY DAVIS!!!! Happy Birthday Gary!
-Personality: SOOOOOOO very sweet and loving, very sensitive to people looking at him and loud noises :), loves to be tickled and chased, is starting to drive his cars around, initiates games, and is starting to pretend (talking on the phone is his favorite). Mostly......SASSY SASSY SASSY!!!!!!

It's Grey's Party.....and He'll Cry If He Wants

Baby's first birthday party was a bust.....kind of. For those of you who don't know, my son is one of the most sensitive babies I have ever met. He is very shy around men, and strangers in general. Just a sneeze from someone can start a crying fit that may last a few minutes. So imagine having a party for a kid like that. Who thought that it was a good idea to throw him a party. :)

So here are some pictures from the event. Grey pretty much cried the entire time. He was distracted momentarily by some fun cars and things that he got as presents. Mostly, he cried.































Grey's party was actually on my Poppy's 90th birthday! Grey was not very nice to him. He would not go and see him or anything. BUT, Sunday Poppy was having a 90th birthday party and we went over to see him and Grey was in a more social mood.

And a thank you to a pregnant lady out there who allowed us to have Grey's birthday party at her house!







And to get ready to be a big boy tomorrow we packed up all of our tiny baby things. A years worth of clothing, bumbo seat, swing, vibrating chair, rattles, tiny soft toys, burp cloths, bottles, ect.



Up and out of our way to make room for SUPER FUN big boy toys!!!!!
