It's Grey's Party.....and He'll Cry If He Wants

Baby's first birthday party was a bust.....kind of. For those of you who don't know, my son is one of the most sensitive babies I have ever met. He is very shy around men, and strangers in general. Just a sneeze from someone can start a crying fit that may last a few minutes. So imagine having a party for a kid like that. Who thought that it was a good idea to throw him a party. :)

So here are some pictures from the event. Grey pretty much cried the entire time. He was distracted momentarily by some fun cars and things that he got as presents. Mostly, he cried.































Grey's party was actually on my Poppy's 90th birthday! Grey was not very nice to him. He would not go and see him or anything. BUT, Sunday Poppy was having a 90th birthday party and we went over to see him and Grey was in a more social mood.

And a thank you to a pregnant lady out there who allowed us to have Grey's birthday party at her house!







And to get ready to be a big boy tomorrow we packed up all of our tiny baby things. A years worth of clothing, bumbo seat, swing, vibrating chair, rattles, tiny soft toys, burp cloths, bottles, ect.



Up and out of our way to make room for SUPER FUN big boy toys!!!!!



Thank you to everyone that came and suffered through the party :) At least there was food!!!

BAD DOG!!!!

Do you guys have a puppy or a dog that gets into everything? Chews on everything? So do we.





WAIT! We don't have a dog. Grey did that. Shhheeesssh. I saw him playing with a box of unopened toothpaste. I thought to myself "He can play with that. How could he get into that?" MISTAKE NUMBER ONE! NEVER assume Grey won't find a way to destroy whatever it is. He did that in about two minutes, maybe less.....while I was in the same room as him.....

On Saturday Grey decided that he didn't need his second nap of the day. I
kept telling him that he needed one. Well, he insisted. So we went on a walk instead.



Mom won! He did need that nap.

Grey has been wanting his lovey more and more lately. I tell him that it is only for the bed. Well, he thinks other wise. A couple of days ago he wanted it so badly that I said we could sit in the rocking chair if he really needed it, but we were not going to play if we had it.



We sat there for about 45 minutes reading books and sucking thumbs. I guess he really did need it.

Yesterday I let Grey eat his afternoon snack on his playmat in the living room. Normally he has to eat only in his high chair. Look how excited he was for snack!

Feels Like Spring

The weather here has been amazing! Over the weekend Matt and I took baby to the zoo. We had a picnic and enjoyed being outside.

Dallas

We went to Dallas this weekend for Amy's baby shower. Once again I forgot to break out the camera very much. I think one day I remembered for about 15 minutes. Oh well!

11 Months!!!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?????? There is only one more sticker left. What a big boy :)

We had a wonderful 11 month-iversary. Megan came in town on Friday. We braved the hurricane style rain and went out and about.

























Next on our agenda- We are headed to Dallas next weekend for Amy's baby shower!!!!
